What is ahead for the housing market in Atlanta?

Past performance may not be a guarantee of future results, but when an expert local economist measures and tracks local consumer confidence, the pattern creates a strong indicator of what to expect in the months to come. To give our members the best information available, the Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association has partnered with Dr. Roger Tutterow to present a quarterly report tailored specifically for home builders, developers and lenders in the Atlanta region.

One of Georgia’s most prominent and popular economists, Dr. Roger Tutterow is the director of the Econometric Center and a professor of Economics, Finance and Quantitative Analysis at the Michael J. Coles College of Business at Kennesaw State University. In addition to his academic positions, Tutterow is often interviewed in numerous local and national media outlets. He serves as a consultant on financial economics and statistical modeling for corporate clients ranging from Fortune 500 companies to closely held businesses. His expertise in financial economics and statistical modeling is renowned at both state and national levels.

Dr. Tutterow is a member of the Governor’s Council of Economic Advisors and served on the Special Council on Tax Reform and Fariness for Georgians. He continues in his role as Chief Economic Adviser for Henssler Financial

A Georgia native, Dr. Tutterow holds a B.S. in Decision Science from Berry College and a M.A. and Ph.D. in Economics from Georgia State University. Prior to joining Kennesaw State, Dr. Tutterow held faculty and administrative appointments at Mercer University, West Virginia University, and Georgia State University. He has also served as a visiting professor at the University of the West Indies in Trinidad and at the Institute for Industrial Policy Studies in Seoul, South Korea.
