Since 2008, Georgia state law has required home builders to be licensed and regulated by the State Licensing Board for Residential and General Contractors. Eligibility for licensure is determined by the board for all candidates who have successfully applied for and passed their licensing examination.

This Greater Atlanta HBA course helps prepare builders for the Basic Contractor exam. Major topics include:

The 130-questions exam is an open book test that uses the following reference materials:

Pipe and Excavation Contracting Revised
Contractors Guide to Business, Law and Project Management, 2nd Ed
Georgia Rules of State Licensing Board for Residential and General Contractors

The Housing Institute has approved this seminar for 24 continuing education credits. This class is NOT approved for licensing continuing education.
